Cycling in and around Zoutelande

Zoutelande makes a great base for exploring Walcheren by bike, with the dunes on the doorstep and the cycle junction network right next to the village.

• Behind the dunes: cycle paths run from Zoutelande north to Westkapelle and south via Dishoek to Vlissingen.
• Hire a bike in the village: the bike rental shops in Zoutelande let you set off straight away.
• Short or long: the cycling routes range from an easy loop to the 56 km art picnic route.
• Woods and dunes along the way: you pass several nature reserves, such as the Salsa Terra Forest on the north side of the village.

Bicycle hire

Zoutelande has 2 bike rental shops within walking distance of the centre.

• Toerpunt: in the heart of the village, a few hundred metres from the Catharina church.
• Akkerdaas Tweewielers: just a few minutes from the dunes and the playground at the edge of the dunes.
• Tip: book in good time during the summer holidays and around public holidays, as bikes are quickly taken.
