Right behind the beach and the dunes the outdoor cafés, terraces, the shops, the pubs and the restaurants are waiting for you to visit them. You will find the largest concentration of restaurants at the Langstraat. When the sun is shining on the central square, there is no better place to catch your breath than sitting quietly on one of the many terraces underneath even more sunshades.

And the delicious Oosterschelde-lobsters, which are beautiful fine, soft and slightly sweeter than other crustacea.
There is also the sweet chewer the ‘bolus’. Soft white twisted dough, wrapped in a crispy, brown burnt caramel. Definitely not complete without a thick layer of unsalted butter. Every baker bakes them, like those delicious butter candy anyway.
